Raptors, Wild Weasels and Dragon Ladies: US air assets stacked up against Iran
The United States has ramped up pressure on Iran, deploying many of its military assets to the Middle East in a significant show of force.
The move comes as US President Donald Trump stated the world would find out "over the next, probably, 10 days" whether the US would reach a deal over its nuclear programme or "bad things will happen".
The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, alongside other warships in its strike group, has been stationed in the Arabian Sea for nearly a month.
Meanwhile, the USS Gerald R Ford – the world's largest aircraft carrier – is sailing east from the Caribbean toward the Middle East, escorted by four destroyers.
This ongoing build-up has also seen hundreds of aircraft deployed in the region, each with varied, specialised roles.
BFBS Forces News takes a look at how these aircraft stack up in our video above.
