US Navy victorious over the Army in historic 125th American football match

The US Navy have taken home the trophy in the US military's fiercely contested Army v Navy American football match.
Full of tradition and ceremony, the fixture takes place every year, with the winner taking home the Commander-in-Chief trophy.
This year marked the 125th iteration of the fixture, with the trophy going home with the Navy, who beat the Army 31-13 in Maryland.
A post on the US Department of Defence's X page showed military helicopters flying overhead as both teams took to the field.
It is also tradition for both teams to sing their anthem at the end of the game, with the victors going second.

This year, it was the US Navy who were pictured running into their section of the crowd and pulling themselves up and into the swarm of their fellow servicemen and women before belting out a song, which ended with what sounded like cannon fire.
US Navy Quarterback Blake Horvath, who was described by the broadcaster as the star of the game, said in an interview afterwards that taking home the win was awesome.
He also sent out a message to servicemen and women who watched on from postings around the world.
"We did it for you guys, we just want to give pride to all you guys and make you feel proud of us," he said.
"Just to do it for them and for the Marine Corps, the Navy, for everybody out there, it's just awesome."
The rivalry between the two teams is huge, with a series of social media jabs, or real-life pranks, taking place ahead of the fixture.
In the UK, the equivalent of the match is the Army Navy rugby fixture held at Twickenham each year.
