From sweat to Talisman Sabre: CSG25 personnel gear up for drills with Hyrox in Singapore

Carrier Strike Group 25's personnel have completed a Hyrox in Singapore while on deployment to the region.
They participated in the race as groundwork for Exercise Talisman Sabre, an international exercise involving Australia, the US, and numerous other nations.
Personnel from various vessels, including HMS Prince of Wales, HMS Dauntless, HMAS Sydney, and the rest of the carrier strike group, competed in the global fitness competition, which is incredibly popular worldwide.
"What better Ex Talisman Sabre prep than a Hyrox competition in Singapore!" the Royal Navy's flagship wrote in a post on X.
The post was accompanied by photos of personnel at the Singapore National Stadium, with their medals around their necks after they had finished the arduous race, and a photo of one member of the personnel competing.
Hyrox is a race that combines running one kilometre with functional workout exercises, such as farmer carries, sled pushes, burpee broad jumps, and wall balls, all repeated eight times.
The winner is the competitor who finishes quickest.
Athletes can compete at the events as male and female individuals, in same or mixed gender doubles, or as a relay.
The competitions are held in different cities around the world in conference centres, meaning spectators can come to watch the athletes working out in the heat of the race.

The race was started eight years ago in Hamburg, Germany, and has since grown to have races in more than 11 countries and 30 cities.
Outside of the deployment in Singapore, the personnel paddled on a dragon boat and played cricket.
The CSG25 deployment, also widely known as Operation Highmast, involves around 4,500 British military personnel, including nearly 600 RAF and 900 soldiers, alongside 2,500 Royal Navy sailors and Royal Marines.
The vessels are heading towards Australia after transiting the world from the UK.
