Frontline Medics: Tested To The Limit
Being in the UK's Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) is one of the toughest jobs for a military medic.
In Afghanistan it saved countless lives, collecting wounded troops from the battlefield and flying them to hospital in the back of a Chinook, which had been specially kitted out as a flying emergency room.
But to do the job, the medics must first make it through a tough selection course.
Forces TV has been given exclusive access to the training undergone by the emergency medics of the future.
