King's Royal Hussars Prepare For 300th Anniversary Celebrations
Officers and soldiers of the King's Royal Hussars (KRH) have been rehearsing ahead of a parade to mark a major milestone in their history this weekend
300 years ago three regiments, the 10th Royal Hussars, 11th Hussars, and 14th King's Hussars, were created.
After various amalgamations over the years, they and a number of other regiments were combined to form the King's Royal Hussars.
Troops and Challenger 2 main battle tanks practised manoeuvres early in the morning on the polo field at Tidworth Tattoo Ground.
The parade will be reviewed by the KRH's Colonel-in-Chief, HRH Princess Anne, the Princess Royal.
The KRH was formed in December 1992, and primarily recruits from counties like Buckinghamshire, Lancashire, Cumbria and the Channel Islands.
It was formed by the amalgamation of The Royal Hussars (Prince of Wales' Own) and the 14th/20th King's Hussars.
