All about the Armed Forces Act: How does it aim to benefit the military community?
The Armed Forces Act has gained Royal Assent in Parliament, enshrining the Armed Forces Covenant in law for the first time.
Local councils and public bodies will be legally obliged to ensure service personnel and veterans are not disadvantaged in certain areas, such as housing, education and healthcare.
There are also changes to the Service Justice System and the Service Complaints System.
