China will try to locate crashed US F-35 despite denial, defence expert says

Despite a denial, China will try to locate a crashed F-35 jet, a defence expert has told Forces News.

There is currently a race between the US and China to try and recover a F-35 jet that crashed while landing on USS Carl Vinson's deck during a military exercise in the South China Sea.

Seven sailors were injured in the incident and the aircraft is now lying on the ocean bed in an undisclosed location - with America fearing other powers could gain valuable security insight if they get to the wreckage first.
