Could this US Infantry Squad Vehicle become the British Army's next workhorse?
GM Defense's Light Tactical Vehicle – also known in the US Army as the Infantry Squad Vehicle – has been proposed as a contender for the British Army's new light tactical mobility platform.
The vehicle, which can carry nine troops and 1.4 tonnes of kit, was tested by 16 Air Assault Brigade during Project Convergence in the US.
Its ergonomic design allows for quick adjustments, including switching between two-wheel and four-wheel drive while moving and, with advanced suspension, the vehicle glides over rough terrain, offering speed and manoeuvrability for special operations forces.
