Watch: Full in-depth interview with head of Strategic Command on pre-bunking Putin, AI and more

Watch our full-length interview with the head of Strategic Command

One of Britain's top military chiefs has spoken exclusively to Forces News about his move to make public Russian President Vladimir Putin’s plans to invade Ukraine.

General Sir Jim Hockenhull, the Commander of Strategic Command, said it was an attempt to get the "truth out first".

He decided to use social media to put intelligence information into the public domain in advance of the invasion in February 2022.

Aside from the topic of Ukraine, Gen Sir Jim also told Forces News he never expected to make general and still doesn't think of himself in that rank, instead seeing his role as the head of Strategic Command as one to support people.

He also shed some light on his current position in the Armed Forces and the future challenges facing the military.

Watch our video above to see the full in-depth interview with Forces News’ Sian Grzeszczyk.
