Memorial Runs Remember Fallen London Marathon Soldier
Friends of Captain David Seath, the Army officer who died at last year's London marathon, have come together to run 5 km in his honour.
David, who was an officer with 2-9 Commando Regiment Royal Artillery, was just three miles from the finish line when he collapsed one year earlier.
His brother, Gary Seath, said it was "a very poignant and emotional day for everybody".
As the runners remembered him in Dunfermline, Scotland, 10 of his friends ran the London marathon to raise money for 'The Captain David Seath Memorial Fund'.
Bill Bolam, one of the participants, said that thinking about the cause was what kept him going during the race:
"The memory of Dave is why we are doing this (...) So when you think about quitting - and you do a lot - it's like... I just can't"

The fund was set up to help injured service personnel and veterans and has raised more than £270,000 so far.
Almost 5,000 donations have been made to Help for Heroes via a page started by the British Army Captain's friends and colleagues.
The British Army Officer had hoped to run 26 miles to raise money for the charity, but died after suffering a suspected heart attack.
