Indian soldiers stand alongside British Tommies at Hampton Court Palace

A new art installation commemorating fallen soldiers and victims of war across the globe has gone on display at Hampton Court Palace.

The artwork consists of around 100 specially made silhouettes, including those that represent Indian soldiers that camped at Hampton Court after the First World War.

More than one million Indian soldiers served in the First World War, volunteering to fight alongside their British counterparts.
