Princess Royal Is Special Guest At 101 Squadron Centenary
Aircrew past and present gathered at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire to mark a major milestone for 101 Squadron.

The squadron held a special event featuring flypasts, marches and speeches to mark the day it was formed 100 years ago.
"Some of those aircrew are still alive today and coming along to help us celebrate"

A Lancaster performed a flypast as a reminder of the role 101 Squadron played as part of Bomber Command during the Second World War. The unit later became the RAF's first jet bomber squadron when it received the twin-engine Canberra in 1951.

"To have royalty present today means something to us who have given our lives to King and country at the time "
