Russia Flexes Its Military Muscles With ICBM Tests

The Russian military has launched drills involving intercontinental ballistic missiles in Siberia.
It was announced today by the Defence Ministry that the manouvers involve Yars missile launchers alongside support vehicles and over 4,000 troops.
The Yars is the most advanced nuclear-tipped missile in the Russian military arsenal.
It is mounted on a heavy lorry, in order for it to be less easily spotted and destroyed by the enemy.
The ministry said the exercise will involve the missiles' deployment and feature action to protect them from enemy scouts and precision strikes.
The drills come a week after Russia and Belarus wrapped up their massive week-long war games that caused some concern in the Baltics and Poland.
The Russian military has recently intensified its combat training amid tensions with NATO over Ukraine.
