Treasured War Medals Stolen From Real Life Band Of Brothers

Price Brothers

Thieves have stolen treasured war medals belonging to three brothers, who all fought and survived WWII.

The medals belonged to Thomas, William and Harry Price, but were stolen from the home of Sheila Robinson, Thomas' daughter,

She had all six medals framed upon her wall and was left devastated when thieves broke into her house and took them.

She said:

"It is just a couple of quid to somebody selling them on eBay but it is devastating for the family.

"We cannot go out and buy another set. They are not just things - they are a little piece of history.

Stolen Price Medals

The Price brothers were three out of 18 siblings.

Seven of the brothers fought in the war and all returned alive.

The stolen medals were awarded to Harry, who served in the RAF, Thomas, who fought in North Africa with the Scots Guards, and William, who served in the Army in Italy.

Police are appealing to the public after the burglary in Bitton Park Road, between 7.40am and 11am on Friday, October 20.

Detective Sergeant Dave Mills, from Newton Abbot CID, said:

"This is a particularly heartless burglary as the war medals that have been taken are of huge sentimental value to the family."
