UK not approached to assist as Titanic-seeking tourist submarine reported missing, MOD says

The UK has not been approached to assist with efforts to locate a Titanic tourist submarine which has reportedly gone missing, the Ministry of Defence (MOD) has said.
The MOD said it is monitoring the situation after reports of a missing submarine carrying people to the wreck of the ocean liner.
In a statement, the MOD said: "As the host nation for Nato's multinational submarine rescue capability, we continue to monitor the incident in the North Atlantic and will guide and assist in any response activity as appropriate."

A search and rescue operation is believed to be under way.
