'We can look back with pride at 2021', RAF chief says in Christmas message

The Chief of the Air Staff has wished RAF personnel a merry Christmas and said they can "look back with great pride" at what they have achieved in 2021.

In a video message, Air Chief Marshal Sir Mike Wigston recognised that many personnel will not have that opportunity to be at home for Christmas due to being "on duty protecting the nation, overseas on operations or in the UK".

"To you, especially, I say thank you and I do hope you find time to celebrate with the people around you and in time get together with family, friends and loved ones," he added.
