The Prince of Wales enjoyed a pint of Guinness – while the Princess nursed a half – after parading with the Irish Guards on St Patrick's Day.

Every year, all generations from the regiment gather for a celebration, and this year they witnessed the formal handover of responsibilities of regimental colonel from the Prince of Wales to wife Kate.

The Royal couple then chatted with members of the guards and their families during a reception.
