First World War Dead on Both Sides Remembered at Mons

Today marks the centenary of the outbreak of fighting in the First World War.

The dead from both sides of the conflict were buried at a cemetery in Mons, Belgium, the site of the first major battle involving British troops.

Preparations for today's remembrance service have taken place over the weekend.
