Major General on Troops to Iraq
Major General Tim Cross has been critical of the planning for Iraq after the removal of Saddam Hussein's government, describing it as "woefully thin".
He retired from the Army in 2007 having served in both Gulf wars.
He spoke to Forces TV's Kate Gerbeau from Westminster, and was asked what he thought about the prospect of more British troops being deployed to Iraq.
