Royal Navy Mine Counter Measures Vessel HMS Middleton has been drydocked where she will undergo a period of preparation ahead of her next mission.

The vessel, part of the 9th Mine Countermeasures Squadron operating from the HMS Jufair naval base in Bahrain, released a short video on social media documenting some of the activity that had taken place.

"Whilst in drydock, the ship's company will be working tirelessly on the ship, ensuring she is ready to reassure our partners and allies in the region," wrote HMS Middleton on X.

During this preparation period, the crew will maintain the vessel to ensure she can carry out her duties in the Middle East.

Last month, HMS Middleton's captain, Lieutenant Commander Tom Lindsey, handed over the reins to Lieutenant Commander Tom Loxton.

Once out of drydock, she will rejoin her counterparts to assist with promoting maritime security and discouraging illegal activities in the region.
