HMS Richmond remains vigilant while on patrol in all weathers in the Baltic
HMS Richmond has begun patrolling the Baltic Sea at the start of her mission to work with partner nations to bolster security and protect underwater infrastructure in the region.
"Team RICHMOND keeping watch in all weathers, snow or shine!" HMS Richmond posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Type 23 frigate, one of the Royal Navy's most versatile warships, arrived in the Baltic late last month.
HMS Richmond and six additional Royal Navy ships are part of a task force that is patrolling an area from the English Channel to the Baltic Sea in an agreement between Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) nations to "ensure stability and deter threats to critical undersea cables, pipelines and other assets".
At the weekend, HMS Richmond showed off her travels en route to "rendezvous with our Latvian friends in the mid-Baltic" using Marine Sound Signals to safely inform submarines of her presence.
