Kids Versus Marines In English Channel Swim
A group of teenagers from Taunton are planning to train hard and fight easy.
They've been taking to the sea off the South West coast, preparing for a cross channel swim in September.
But this is no gentle swim; they'll be racing a team of serving and injured Royal Marines.
When they're not training, the kids are back into their studies at Taunton School, where the charity of the year happens to be the Royal Marines Charity.
40 Commando, the first Royal Marines Commando unit, formed in 1942, is located nearby and has several connections to the students, parents, and governors of Tauton School.
The marine and student teams will race in a relay the entire 21 miles, and the first team to France wins.
