Putting Royal Marine Reservists To The Test

Reservist Royal Marine commandos from across the UK have deployed to Britain's training ranges in Germany for an annual exercise.

120 part-timers are in Sennelager fine-tuning their battlefield skills, with 60% of Royal Marine reservists having no previous military experience.

It takes 14 months to become a Reserve Marine Commando, the process involving rigorous tests to prove physical determination and mental resilience.

Annual exercise locations have included the Falklands and the United States.
