Watch: Reporter takes on the military's brutal icebreaker drill in Norway
Forces News reporter Briohny Williams dove deep into the story, quite literally, as she participated in an ice-breaking drill with Commando Helicopter Force during Operation Clockwork in Bardufoss, Norway.
This challenging drill, known as the infamous icebreaker test, marks the culmination of Clockwork's Cold Weather Aviation Operators Course, requiring participants to immerse themselves in freezing water with a weighted backpack and then climb out unaided.
With temperatures plummeting to -30°C or lower, Clockwork's mission is clear: to equip Arctic rookies with the skills needed to survive in the most unforgiving environments.
