More than 50 aircraft taking part as RAF ramps up massive exercise

Watch: Exercise Cobra Warrior is underway at RAF Waddington.

The RAF is ramping up its biggest exercise of the year, with a number of Britain's international allies taking part in Exercise Cobra Warrior in Lincolnshire.

This year's iteration sees more than 50 aircraft take to the sky and incorporates 14 missions with nations from across the globe - including the Royal Canadian Air Force, which is taking part for the first time.

The goal of Exercise Cobra Warrior is to train participants in high-intensity, large force and tactical air warfighting operations.
