Reserves Day: Defence Secretary holds reception for reservists at Number 10

Watch: Reservists visit Downing Street.

One hundred and fifty reservists and veterans from the Civil Service were welcomed to 10 Downing Street by Defence Secretary Ben Wallace on Wednesday.

They attended a reception marking Reserves Day which celebrates the role of reservists in the UK Armed Forces and sees them wear their military uniform in their civilian life for a day.

The tri-service reservists and veterans who attended the reception are part of the new Civil Service Armed Forces Network which has been set up to support, mentor and champion the skills of veterans, reservists and their families who work across the Civil Service.
