Farewell: Search And Rescue
Come the New Year, Britain will no longer have rescue cover provided by the military.
More than 74 years of history came to an end with the closure of the last RAF SAR base in the UK in May.
RMB Chivenor in Devon was the last of six RAF Search and Rescue Stations to close.
And New Year's Eve will see the Royal Navy's Sea Kings fly for the final time.
