Head of US Army "Very Concerned" About UK Defence Cuts

The head of the US Army says he is "very concerned" about cuts to Britain's defence budget.

General Raymond Odierno told the Daily Telegraph "I would be lying to you if I did not say that I am very concerned about the GDP investment in the UK."

He added that he believes Britain is risking its ability to fight future campaigns and called on the government to maintain defence spending at two per cent of GDP.

Forces TV's Kate Gerbeau asked Sir Bob Russell, Liberal Democrat MP for Colchester and a member of the House of Commons Defence Select Committee, for his take on the matter.
