Home From Home: Can Having A Quiet Space Aid Recovery?

For the past two years Fisher House has been attempting to speed up the recovery of servicemen and women from illness or injury, simply by offering them and their relatives some quiet space.

It's been described as a "home away from home" for military patients and their families, on the site of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

The hospital is the home of the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine (RCDM), which provides medical support to military operational deployments.
