Best of the Marines: 45 Commando retain team title in Royal Marines boxing showstopper

Watch: Power cut briefly disrupts the second bout of the evening at the Royal Marines Corps Boxing Championships.

45 Commando Royal Marines have retained their team title at the Royal Marines Corps Boxing Championship Finals after a showstopping night of boxing action.

Twelve bouts in total saw only two fights end in a referee stoppage with ten bouts going the full distance.

The final bout proved to be one of the highlights of the night, which saw Marine Connor Fanning of 30 Commando Royal Marines take home the Middleweight Open Belt after beating Marine Grant Crookes of 45 Commando Royal Marines by a split decision.

A power cut inside the Commando Training Centre briefly paused the second bout of the evening, but was soon resumed once power was restored.
