British Army boxers head Down Under to take on the best from Australia

The British Army Boxing Team have been in action Down Under as they took on some of the best boxers from Australia at a fight night in Melbourne.

The Army put forward 16 boxers to take on their Australian rivals from Victoria Boxing in the event, which was incorporated into the team's tour of Australia.

The highlight of the evening was from Private Dylan Swales' win on points decision against State and National Champion Rocco Brigante.

Current English 63kg champion Corporal Terri-Leigh Stuart won her bout on points decision against Olympic-bound boxer Teretia Toauriri, who represents Kiribati.

The Army won seven out of the 16 bouts on the card, with the boxers from Victoria Boxing winning nine in front of a crowd of up to 400 people.

In a post on Instagram, Cpl Stuart said: "No words for how amazing this trip was, truly the experience of a lifetime with the @britisharmyboxingteam.

"As always, I am extremely proud and grateful for the opportunity to represent the Army and the REME and to be apart of such an amazing group of lads and lasses. The blues have set in already."
