FA Cup: Five UK Armed Forces footballers book first round place after qualifying success

Five UK Armed Forces women's footballers have been congratulated for making it into the first round of the Women's FA Cup with their respective clubs.
Following third round qualifying, Nat Bavister, Pip Wilson, Jeorgia Carr, Anthea Kaptein and Cat Beaver will play in the first round with AFC Portchester, Shrewsbury Town, Torquay and Fulham.
Among the qualifying results, AFC Portchester beat Portishead Town 5-1, Fulham beat Maidenhead United 1-1 (4-2) and Shrewsbury Town overcame Lincoln United 3-2.

Meanwhile, Wolves Women, coached by Sergeant Dan McNamara, beat West Brom Women 8-0 in the FAWNL Northern Premier Division.
