Royal Artillery win thrilling Edwards Cup final after inspiring captain's performance
The Royal Artillery have claimed their first ever Edwards Cup triumph after winning an exciting final against the Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers.
A brilliant performance from Gunners and Army captain Anna Birtwhistle, who scored twice and set up the other, helped the Artillery win 3-2 despite going behind twice.
The REME showed their ability going forward with Halle Turell and Jemma Dinning scoring, but it was Birtwhistle's stunning free-kick that settled the match in the second half.
