GB wheelchair rugby miss out on golden opportunity after narrowly losing to USA

Unfortunately for RAF veteran Stu Robinson and GB wheelchair rugby, it will not be gold at this year's Paralympic games after losing to the USA in the semi-finals in Paris.
Vice-captain Stu Robinson has played every second of GB's Paralympics journey in the French capital, but it was not to be in the second semi-final.
Falling five tries behind in a poor second quarter, Great Britain never recovered and went down 43-50 to the USA.
This will be a particularly hard result for the reigning Paralympic champions, but the US are the most decorated wheelchair rugby side in existence, and they will play Japan for gold and glory on day five at 19:30 UK time.
GB meanwhile faced world number one Australia in the bronze final but were beaten 50-48.
It was end-to-end stuff at the Champs-de-Mars Arena but the Australians opened up a two-try deficit in the last two quarters which GB could not pull back.
The side fought hard, but it was not to be and it ultimately was a sad end to the Paralympic campaign for the reigning champions.
