Royal Navy karting lights up Clay Pigeon Raceway with impressive performances

It was another impressive performance for the Royal Navy Royal Marines karting team as round two of the UK Armed Forces Karting Championship took place at Clay Pigeon Raceway in Dorchester.
Kart 46 from the Navy was the highest military finisher in the first endurance race, finishing just 22 seconds off civilian winners from Alessia Prime.
The Army's Kart 2 finished fourth (second in military) while RAF Waddington Vulcans' Kart 150 picked up the fastest lap of the race as they secured a fifth-placed result (third in military).

The second endurance event saw no Navy involvement leaving the space for Army Kart 7 to win the military race. Kart 150 secured the fastest lap of the race again in sixth (second in military) while Army Kart 96 rounded out the forces podium.
The Navy returned for the final endurance race of the weekend and in some style as they took the top three military spots in the race behind civilian winners from 7kart. Kart 46 took the win again while their teammates in 48 and 45 followed them over the finish line in that order.
Elsewhere, the Premier race was won by Daniel Haines with Jack Twilley in second and Ian Hodgkiss in third.
The action picks up with round three in June as the competition heads to Forest Edge Kart Club in Winchester.
