Army rugby star Bombardier Bethan Dainton was on the scoresheet for Leeds Rhinos as they cantered to victory in their second group game of this years Women's Rugby League Challenge Cup.

Bdr Dainton, a dual-code Welsh international who serves with the Royal Artillery, crashed over from 20 metres out for Rhino's second try under the sticks as they routed Hull Kingston Rovers 92-0.

The result confirms the Rhinos place in the quarter finals of the Challenge Cup, which will take place on the 13-14 April.

Away from Rhinos, Bdr Dainton has played in both codes for the British Army as well as internationally for Wales, which includes eight caps for Wales Rugby Union.

In 2023, she was awarded the captaincy of Wales Rugby League as she led the national side out against France.
