Army Women Beat Forces Rivals In Rugby League Clash

Watch: Highlights of the Army Women's win over the RAF/Navy women's hybrid team.

The Army Women's Rugby League team proved their dominance over the other services with a win in Warrington.

They scored three tries in each half against an RAF/Royal Navy hybrid team.

The match was played prior to the second senior men's match between the Army and the RAF.

The RAF/Navy team took an early lead which shocked many in the ground as the Army were heavy favourites.

Linda McClean's converted try was a deserved reward for the hybrid team's good early start.

However, the Army hit back with three first-half tries.

Ella Donnelly, Molly Kedraika and Elyschia Watson all got on the scoresheet and the conversion was good each time to give the Army an 18-6 half-time advantage.

The Army continued to control the match and added to their score in the second half through Emily Carlisle.

It was an impressive performance from the underdog RAF/Navy team but their tired legs allowed the Army to grab more tries before the end.

Donnelly's second of the match and Kaiya Glynn's converted try meant the Army won by 30-6.
