Called to Duty: Army pair earn Wales rugby league World Cup selection

It's going to be a winter to remember for British Army rugby stars Bethan Dainton and Jade Mullen after they were announced as part of Wales' World Cup squad.

Dainton is captain of the Welsh team and will be a key player for them in Australia.

Mullen, who is the Army's rugby union captain, made a late dash for the squad this year after being capped for the first time in July's loss to Canada.

Dainton plays for Wigan Warriors and won the Challenge Cup for the first time in May while Mullen has been starring for London Broncos, who won the Women's National Championship and sealed promotion to the Super League.

Wales will go up against hosts Australia, England and Samoa at the World Cup, which starts on 23 October.
