St Helens rugby league stars face military challenges in Cyprus with 1 Lancs
The stars of rugby league Super League side St Helens have been hosted in Cyprus by 1st Battalion the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment.
The pre-season Cyprus camp is a mix of fitness and rugby skills, with the Saints also having a go at some military leadership scenarios.
The 1 Lancs rugby team were also given the opportunity to mix it up with some of the sport's best players in a training session in Episkopi.

"There's a lot of similarities between Army lads and rugby lads. Cyprus got suggested so we thought why not?" said James Roby, a leading name in rugby league.
Lieutenant Colonel Bob Carman, the commanding officer of 1 Lancs, said he was pleased with the exercise.
He said: "It's been such a really good week and a real privilege to host such a famous and successful rugby league club."
