Action sequel as Thomas and the Gladers return to take on a mysterious and powerful organisation. After being rescued from the maze by secret agents, Thomas and the rest of the gang are taken in by a charitable host. Despite assurances that they are safe from the clutches of WCKD, all is not as it seems, and a curious Thomas realises that something strange is going on behind closed doors. Soon, the group's journey leads them to a desolate wasteland where impossible challenges await them...
