When Thomas woke up trapped in a massive maze with a group of other boys, he had no memory of the outside world other than strange dreams about a mysterious organization known as W.C.K.D. 

Having being rescued from the maze by secret agents, Thomas and the rest of the gang are taken in by a charitable host. Despite assurances that they are safe from the clutches of WCKD, all is not as it seems, and a curious Thomas realises that something strange is going on behind closed doors. Soon, the group's journey leads them to a desolate wasteland where impossible challenges await them....
