
Russian night-time bombardment launched against key targets in Ukraine, says commander

Russia has launched an aerial and ground assault against critical infrastructure objects in different regions of Ukraine, using rockets, missiles, and attack drones.
Weapons including 16 rockets, 10 winged missiles, and 13 drones were used by the Russian armed forces, on Friday night.
"On the night of June 22, 2024, Russian occupiers launched a rocket and aviation strike on critical infrastructure objects in different regions of Ukraine, using air, marine and ground-based missiles, as well as Shahed-type attack BPLAs," said Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Nikola Oleschuk.
The Ukrainian Air Force has claimed that 12 rockets and 13 impact UAVs were shot down in the incident.
On social media, it claimed to have destroyed 11 winged missiles, a winged rocket, and 13 Shahed-type drones.
The lieutenant general thanked the defenders for their work in protecting the skies above Ukraine.
