Gibraltar Squadron Wins Top Royal Navy Award
The Gibraltar Squadron has won a top Royal Navy award.
They triumphed in the 'Inshore Patrol Vessel' category of this year's Surface Fleet Efficiency Troph, which is awarded to the unit that has contributed the most to the professionalism and reputation of the Royal Navy as a whole.
The Squadron has worked against the backdrop of an often inflamed political situation, their boats deploying daily to reinforce British sovereignty in Gibraltar.
