2023 RAF Sports Awards: How to watch live

Watch: The 2023 RAF Sports Awards will be broadcast live on Forces News.

The Royal Air Force are holding their 2023 RAF Sports Awards at RAF Halton â€“ and you can watch the ceremony live with Forces News and BFBS. 

The ceremony will take place on Thursday 19 October and it will commence at 15:15 UK time.

Accolades such as Sportsman of the Year, Sportswoman of the Year, and Official/Coach of the Year are all up for grabs at this year's ceremony.

RAF Sport has nominated Squadron Leader Simon Almond (swimming), Flying Officer Adam Rosbottom (ice hockey) and Chief Technician Mark Collinson for Sportsman of the Year.

Nominees for Sportswoman of the Year include Flying Officer Carys Williams-Morris (rugby union), Corporal Sarah Toms (cycling) and Air Specialist Class 1 Francis Lyall (boxing). 

The award for Official/Coach of the Year will be between Flight Lieutenant Matthew Butcher (fencing), Flight Sergeant Mark Silva (bobsleigh) and Chief Technician Chris Edgar (snowboarding). 

Team of the Year will also be awarded at this year's ceremony, where the RAF Hockey Ladies' Senior Team, RAF Winter Sports Telemark Women's Team and the RAF Olympic Weightlifting Inter Services Team have all been nominated.

In addition, honours for Administrator of the Year, Lifetime Award, Civilian Volunteer and a Station Award will all be made at this year's ceremony.
