Army shooters Faulkner and Baker win titles at British Open Air Gun Championships

British Army shooters have enjoyed medal success at the British Open Air Gun Championships at Bisley.

The shooters represent the Army Target Shooting Club (ATSC) and are supported through the Army's successful Troops to Target (T2T) programme.

Sapper Emilia Faulkner won the title in the Women's British 10m Air Pistol event with a total of 235 points, beating out fellow competitor Mathilda Baker by a narrow three-point margin.

It was an even tighter race in the Women’s British 10m Air Rifle competition, with Craftsman Morgan Baker winning gold with a total of 244.9 points.

Her closest rival Seren Thorne narrowly missed out on gold with a total of 244.1 points.

In the Men's British 10m Air Rifle final, Corporal Stephen Mitchell won silver with 245.6 points, missing out on gold by less than a point, while Lance Corporal Michael Whalley reached the final to place fifth overall.

In the Men’s British 10m Air Pistol final, Lance Corporal Ben Hodge placed seventh overall.
