Royal Navy's terrific cricket season continues with development title triumph
The Royal Navy development cricketers have added another title to the service's impressive 2024 season.
After the men's senior team won the Inter Services T20 championship at Lord's in May, the development team followed suit to win their 40-overs title at Vine Lane.
They beat the RAF by four wickets to seal the trophy after earlier beating the Army at Larkhill.

Ben White was the shining star with the ball to take four wickets, while Joshua Betley secured three dismissals as the RAF were all out for just 111 after 29.1 overs despite Ellis Richards hitting 63 runs.
However, the Navy made the worst possible start to their innings, losing three wickets for just five runs.
They recovered thanks to James Chadwick's 48 not out and Charlie Rutter's score of 30 before blasting past their target with 19 overs to spare.
This is the Navy's first development title win since 2018.
