1 Royal Yorks dominate final to defend Army Rugby Sevens trophy

The 1st Battalion Royal Yorkshire Regiment have successfully defended their Army Rugby Sevens title after a romping 27-0 victory over 2nd Battalion The Rifles in Newbury. 

1 Royal Yorks made the final after the defending champions defeated the 1st Battalion Irish Guards 24-10 in their semi-final fixture, and 2 Rifles stormed to the final after beating 1st Battalion Duke of Lancaster's Regiment 22-13.

A one-sided final saw 1 Royal Yorks score a total of five tries to dominate their Northern Ireland-based opponents, 2 Rifles, to take home the trophy for another year.
