4 Regiment RLC crowned Army rugby sevens champions for first time

Watch: 4 Regiment RLC take on 17 Port and Maritime Regiment RLC in the Army rugby sevens final

4 Regiment Royal Logistic Corps have beaten 17 Port and Maritime Regiment RLC to be crowned Army Rugby Sevens champions for the first time.

The all-RLC final saw the Abingdon-based unit battle back from a 12-5 half-time deficit before going on to win the title by 29-12.

Following their victory, 4 Regiment Head Coach WO2 Tutiva Tamatawale said their win would boost the team.

He said: "I think this win will go a long way, especially with 4 Regiment. We've not won any silverware over the years, and I believe our first ever Army sevens final.

"And I know the CO, he was in earlier with the Regiment Sergeant Major, so this is something to take back to the regiment."
