Army men's rugby beat Navy and RAF winners to UK Armed Forces team of the year award

The British Army men's rugby union team have won the UK Armed Forces Team of the Year award.

All three team winners at the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force sports awards were in contention including the Navy's men's football squad and the RAF's motorcycle road racing team.

But it's the Army men's rugby union side who have come out on top and they will receive their award in March at the UK Armed Forces Sports Awards.

It caps off a brilliant 2024 that saw late Twickenham drama against the Royal Navy as well as victory over the RAF to seal an Inter Services triumph.

In their Remembrance fixture last month, the Army also beat the USA Military team in Esher.
