Sergeant Josh McNally has been appointed Chairman of the Welsh Rugby Players Association.
Sgt McNally, 36, who represents Cardiff Rugby, succeeds Scarlets back-rower Josh Macleod in the role.
McNally joined the RAF in 2009, qualifying as an engineer and working as a weapons technician. He went on to join the RAF Rugby Union Centre of Excellence Scheme in 2012.

Through this scheme, McNally joined Henley Hawks in 2012 before earning a move to the Premiership with London Welsh two seasons later after impressing in a pre-season game.
The 6ft 7in lock subsequently played for London Irish before heading west to Bath, where he spent five years, making 82 appearances and regularly captaining the side. He joined Cardiff ahead of the 2024/25 season.
McNally said he was looking forward to representing players at a pivotal time for Welsh rugby.
"At such an important time for Welsh rugby, I believe the players' voice has never been more important. Players must have a meaningful role in shaping the future of the professional game, with their views heard and valued.
"Having experienced different environments throughout my career, I've seen first-hand the importance of clarity and having the right support around you. The WRPA plays a vital role in ensuring players are represented, supported and given opportunities to develop both on and off the field.
"I'm looking forward to working closely with Gareth Lewis [WRPA CEO], the Executive Committee and our members to build on the excellent work already being done, strengthen our collective voice and ensure players remain at the heart of the decisions that shape their future."
